Topic 2 School-based Integration

To integrate the transdisciplinary approach into the learning process, teachers have to work together to create interactive activities that group all disciplinary aspects between literature and mathematics skills. It is also very important to focus on the theme and not on the process that would be normally developed on a disciplinary approach (Rabinowitz & Glaser, 1985).

It’s fundamental that all educational personnel are very aware of the final aim, so students can benefit from a complete teaching framework to have a deep and complete knowledge of the theme and its many applications in real-life problems. Well-applied transdisciplinary teaching can promote positive activities over reading and writing (Lipson, Valencia, Wixson & Peters, 1993).
